Yarn: Our fleeces win prizes in NH, VT and NY. We send fleeces to Starcroft Fiber Mill in Monroe Maine where they are washed with gentle Eco-Scour. Each fleece is individually custom spun. This enables us to offer several different natural shades of colored yarn ranging from white to silver to gray to jet black. There is a photo of the sheep whose fleece was used on each skein. The hand and luster of the yarn is exceptional and a joy to work with. Fleece: Fleeces are coated from Sept. - March. There is minimal chaff so you have more time for spinning! Our herd sires are renowned for their fleece. Zorro's sire's fleece out of Pulpit Rock Romneys was Supreme Champion at the Big E in 2000 and Supreme Champion at Maryland in 2001. And Blake's farm Silver Creek Lambscapes has an exceptional fleece reputation.
